Fun concept that is far more challenging than it first looks. Sprites look great.
Actually a really neat core mechanic with more considerations than I'd expect (like how one can block the other, so you have to think about positioning, even at times when there's nothing immediate to do).
yeah this "feature" was not 100% intentional it was just because i put the pathfinding only on the middle of the street.
so the cars usally can overtake or change position in the corners or crossings.
I thought about "fixing" it but i thought it gives a little more depth because you need to drive a bit better to not block each other all the time. also to spice it up a little bit, the policecar is slightly faster than the ambulance.

Wow this is nearly a full game. Probably over scoped for a 3 hour jam. Try one of the mini jams 48 hours be interesting to see this fleshed out. Great idea.
