Couldn't really progress because it was too dark. Maybe you could drop fires like torches or lighten the places you've visited

If you had a little more time, I could see this being a really interesting game to play! I would like to play a more polished version of this. Anyways, for 3 hours, good job especially for a first jam!

Thank you! And yea I'd have liked to have a few things animated like the fire and character walking. And also adding some story or lore. Maybe more mechanics too for the levels.

I wish you had more time left for polishing some elements :(.

It looks intriguing but I can't really figure out how to progress.

For your first game jam you did very well !

One idea: even when the player doesn't use fire, make it so that something is visible - like the outlines of the level. Total darkness is difficult to navigate and thus takes more time to design as a statisfying experience :)

That's a good point,  sadly the time limit hurt us when it came down to tutorials and so forth. I like the idea of outlines of levels or just visible instead of pure darkness. Great ideas, i really appreciate it.

Thank You! There were a few things I wanted to touch up visually too but had to prioritize certain things over others.  Ideally the levels would be a little more clear but time crunch was real.  And that's actually an idea we had AFTER haha. In hindsight being able to actually see makes sense.
