It’s a race to rule the kingdom! MaraTHRONE is a fast-paced, top-down rpg where you will lead your character to the end, where the throne to rule them all awaits.
Click on the towns to move your character and make it all the way to the end! On the way to the throne, you’ll face a series of unfortunate events that will hinder your progress so choose your character and your paths wisely!

Infinitely late but I uploaded a review video to youtube and your game is a part of it! Check it out here:
This game was fun. I loved the art, especially the characters, and I liked the music. I liked that rather than being turn-based, you could move as fast as you could click on towns. I feel like the character with fire-immunity is a little over-powered, though, since wildfires send everyone else to the beginning and they seem really hard to avoid. It also seemed like combat was broken. It says only those two players are supposed to roll, but everyone did. I could also move during this.
Well, that was kinda cool!
I'm not sure what was happening too much, but I won, so nifty!
I think this game was nicely paced but some more feedback would be nice. Like a map that shows progress or what your enemies are up to... Having some sort of control over the rolling part would also be super sweet!
Great work!
I was hesitant to try it at first, and didn't really "get" the goal immediately, but once I grasped the concept, I started liking it a lot! Fast-paced, "just one more round" kind, with cool GOT-like family names and artwork! Congrats :)
Thank you :D Did you win the mara"throne"? haha
Yes, with the fire-immune family (I can't remember their in-game name, although I remember that seeing it the first time made me smile :))
The artwork is great, the gameplay is quick and fluid and it's good fun to keep replaying in bursts!
I enjoyed playing as the Cannisters as getting to move (though the screen was covered with the debt event) with everyone else stuck helped me a lot!
It took me a couple of plays to understand where I was heading to (I initially thought it was set at a random location as the AI had some random movements to it), perhaps before the game starts the camera could pan from the castle to the player's position?
Another quality of life is when a rolling dice events appear, maybe have the player's panel have an outline and show what dice roll you have to get? Just in case you ever go back to working on it!
Anyway great work! For three days this is really polished!
Wow thank you for your feedback. Noted on your suggestions. What is your favorite House? :D
The artwork was really neat and a nice abstract take on Game of Thrones! Really nicely done! I was confused on what I was supposed to be doing at first but I quickly caught on. There didn't seem to be a way to close the game though, I had to hit Alt+F4.
I enjoyed how quick it was to play through a few games and try out all the different houses, well done!
Wow thanks for you feedback :) Noted on that close game missing functionality. What house/houses did you enjoy the most? hahaha
I think my favorite was House Dracarys. Being able to pass through the burning areas seemed to really help me make it to the throne first :)
I love the portrait drawings of the various houses, and their descriptions... draws inspiration from the source material with a little twist, not to mention funny too (Cannisters! haha). Short and sweet, fast paced gameplay! Music is top notch too. Well done! :)
Thank you for the appreciation <3 Did you win using House Cannisters? HAHAHA
Ah I'm afraid not, it was easier to get ahead during infernos using Dracarys ;) haha
