Feedback

  • Instant start, needs startscreen
  • Great game mechanic
    • I loved to jump out the water and dive in again to gain speed, I would try to make the game more around that.
    • Just being able to endlessly dive defeats the purpose of jumping out and diving back in again
  • Nice map with auto side switchinf
  • Level design
    • feels pretty random :)
    • It's hard, not all objects would need to reset the collect points
    • Maybe some objects are just to guide the direction?

Protip! Your sub needs to come all the way out of the water to score!

This one ran in my simulator ok, and is really fun! I appreciate the secret mini-game of "how high can I make my submarine fly".

I liked that the depth gauge jumped out of the way, but also found it a little jarring. Sometimes there'd be an obstacle hiding behind it as well that I could see until I was about to hit it. It might be worth trying it out as static and using it as the wall on that side.

This is fun on device. It doesn't run on Simulator for me, perhaps due to C. "Couldn't find pdz file main.pdz"

Developer

ah yeah, i compiled the game on linux so it wont run in the windows or mac simulators. the source code is available on github: https://github.com/redpenguinyt/SafetyDiver, so you're free to compile it yourself to try in the simulator!

This looks really fun and interesting! Will be playing them all once the jam has ended.
