This is interesting. Is more a experience than a game itself i reckon, I love the visuals of that, it highlight what you want to say with this little game, the music fits perfectly. I really like it
Nice music happy to see you made it during the jam.
Cool ideia, I like the concept of deconstructing stuff through interactive means, maybe even for educational porpuses.
Only "improvements" i could think of is that the screen is a little bit too small, and maybe if the words in the pages where ortografically a little bit more coherent, it could "sell" more the idea that the text we are reading could be an actual bible verse, just to show that any gibberish that seems profound could be a verse. And also maybe a way to copy the random text, so people could show what random stuff was generated.
But overall, this was interesting!
And by the way, was not expecting a game like this! So good job on that.
Not really a game, but more an opinion to show, anyway, Well done!
ya "game" is so subjective at this point. If bitsy walking sim is a genre this would be it. "Interactive thought experiment" perhaps? Language is weird but thank you :)
Interesting game i kinda like it kinda
I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did, but this was honestly quite the experience to go through. Definitely an unexpected project and a bold one, as even among indie projects I haven't seen anything that attempts to address religion as directly as you have. The dialogue of the NPC's were quite entertaining to read through, as well as the Bible "passages" themselves. Knowing how those verses are constructed from your explanation is also quite intriguing and well thought-out. The simple visuals work out surprisingly well for this game; for some reason it took me back to pre-modern Christianity, perhaps due to how seemingly rustic and ancient these times are to us. Overall an interesting and well thought out project.
thank you so very much!
What is wrong with you!? The Bible is not to be used this way. The disrespect shown in this is disgusting.
Well that's kind of the point. The whole idea is that when you even slightly begin to question the Bible, you are met with anger, even if it's simply because you don't understand. This game exaggerates that showing how confusing the Bible can be to an outsider and how much more confusing that makes faith seem.
this game needs music to set the mood
