Absolutely stunning art direction
I wish laundry was this fun irl.
nice game, i like the visuals and the music. good job
though, i think a tutorial, would have made the expereince much easier. but regardless of that good job, i can see a lot of people liking this. so, keep up the good work.
This is way more fun and addictive than it should be! Who wants to be Geralt when you can run your own small pixelated laundry business? Art is charming and everything seems to just tie together well - only minor hiccup is that while it's easy enough to tell by sight which detergent is "natural" I wouldn't have known how to tell between the plain and heavy duty if I hadn't read the instructions.
I absolutely adore this game. Great work! It would be nice to have some sort of indicator on the types of detergent that link to the details for the item to be laundered (maybe the color to go along with the description). But overall, really enjoyed this.
Thanks for playing! Yeah, I definitely think player guidance took a hit due to time constraints. I'd like to make tickets more interactive (cross out completed tasks, highlight currently held clothes, maybe even guide arrows to each station).
Very cool! Did you draw all sprites yourself?
Music is very good fit
Thanks for the kind words! I did do all the sprites this time around. :)
Any chance you could do a web build? For some reason my anti virus keeps killing it.
Doh, that's a bummer. I tried just now but it doesn't look like there's a way to host both types of files (a web version and downloadables) and I'm hoping to keep it easy for installation via the Itch desktop app. Have you tried installing through Itch desktop by chance?
I did yeah. I’ll keep trying. But you can definitely host both versions on itch. Under game type select HTML then select the tick mark next to the web build that says this can be played in browser. If you want to, of course.
Sure thing, I added the web build! It wouldn't let me keep the executable, so I just added a link to the bottom. Web build is probably better for getting people to play anyway ;)
Great fast paced game, I specially liked the quick time events.
Pixel art is perfect, the only thing I can suggest is adding more of that to the menu as it felt a little bit flat.
The music was somewhat repetitive but it works hand on hand with the game, nice combo.
I almost didn't play your game because I was too busy dancing to the menu music ;)
The pixel art style is really cool and it's a clever take on the jam theme. The franticness similar to Overcooked etc is something I really enjoyed and the music really added to it.
I noticed some of the shirts don't match the colour mentioned, level 4 for instance says a pink shirt but the one that spawns is green so I may have some angry customers to deal with at a later date.
Thanks for playing! I mean the challenge was to turn it from green to pink. Automatic fail, haha! ;) But really, I got tripped up by the last minute rush (and got too used to the colors to look up oops). I appreciate the feedback, I'll get that updated once ratings are all over and done.
This game is absolutely fantastic! Great job! Definitely one of the best games of the whole Jam!
Really appreciate it, thanks for playing!
Fantastic work and a great take on the theme.
The gameplay was smooth and everything seemed to work as expected. The music did get a bit much after a few games, but that's fairly standard for jam games.
The only real problem I had was working out how to iron stuff in my first game (I missed the tick to say the item was done).
Personally I think this would make a pretty fun mobile game.
Thanks gwolf86! I really wanted to add another mini game for the ironing portion but ran out of time. I'll see if I can add that in (along with some better indicators) and maybe see it through to completion. :)
Really enjoyed this game alot! So far one of my favorites in the jam. Song was catchy at first but started getting a bit much after a couple of play throughs. I also noticed some shirts colours didn't match the colour that was written on the ticket. But other than that, great game!
Thanks for the play through and the kind words! Yeah, I really wanted to write my own music this time around but that ended up on the cutting room floor. Could definitely use another couple tracks or variation.
