I liked the graphics and the idea of boss rooms.
I think the attack mechanics could be adjusted so that they don't have to be so close to the enemy.
Thanks for your feedback!
I struggled with the attack animations, and I agree, I don't know how I fared but the hit range is shorter than expected.
However, being invincible during the rolls allows you to get in touch quickly ^^
Great great great cohesiveness between visual movements and control. Feels good to move and very responsive. Awesome primary weapon, and the boss rush style was bold!
Out of theme but nice and polished.
Thanks for your feedback !
I tried to do my best to fit the theme, I wanted to make a game where we control a nun possessed by a demon, specialist in exorcism, must exorcise a hotel, and each room in the hotel is a mini boss in two phases the first is with the nun who fights against a possessed enemy, when this enemy is defeated his demon tries to escape into the beyond we enter the breach where we find ourselves in the same room in reverse mode to defeat the enemy with the demon who owns the nun with the inverted crucifix.
The theme is not really in the gameplay, but more in the symbolism ^^;
Ho, I did'nt saw it !I did'nt defeat any boss :( . I try to play all the games of the jam , it takes time and I don't have time to skill up :p
Little tips, you can press "P" to
cheatpray and skip the firs phase of each boss ^^This game is really great! One of the best games i ever played. Once i got the basics, its was super fun to take down the bosses. But i'm still confused abt the upside down.
Thank you very much for your feedback, it's heartwarming!
For the theme, I work around the returned cross and the beyond, but it is more a design and lore choice for the game more than the mechanics. ^^;
This game is very fun and I love the boss fights. However, I think that there are a few things to make better in each boss fight and with general mechanics. Room 101 was fun, but I found that after dodging his burst of pellets, I was too close to him to dodge them again. I wish that you could either dodge in place or that there was more break time between the bursts. Room 102 also felt slightly unfair when you were right next to a wall and the dark lines came from that wall and instantly damaged you. I think they should come from the wall farthest away every time. The beam she shoots during the second phase is also barely telegraphed and I got surprised by it way too often and couldn't beat her. There should be more of a delay before it starts doing damage. Room 103 was also very fun, but he sat still for very long periods of time which made him quick to finish. His second phase's sound effects were also early and let me dodge very easily. I also think that you should be able to cancel an attack with a dodge because I was frozen in place when I was attacking and ended up taking tons of damage for it. The art is absolutely beautiful and, take this as a compliment, I doubt you made it all during the jam. The music is great as well and I love the boss designs. I'm slightly confused on how upside down fits in with this game, but it's very cool. This game has some of the most potential I've ever seen in any game ever and I think it could easily become a popular title on steam or another platform if you added normal levels between the boss fights and more content. The mechanics are just amazing and I think implementing levels would make for a very interesting platformer. Keep up the spectacular work!
Wow! Thank you very much for this very detailed comment!
You made lots of pertinent suggestions, and I apologize for the most aproximation of the patterns of each boss, it was very hard to program and often I was content with what worked without trying to get the best.
For the graphics of the game, I did everything during the jam, I don't really have the means to prove it, but I posted on a discord server some screenshoots on the progress of the project (with the date)
For the theme, I work around the returned cross and the beyond, but it is more a design and lore choice for the game more than the mechanics. ^^;
Thank you again for your feedback, and I'm very glad you liked the game :)
that’s amazing that you did this all during the jam! Thanks for explaining how the theme fit in.
This game was so much fun. So far with the games I've played, Lune is my favorite. The character's slash is juicy and it feels addicting to want to get better.
It's a really difficult game and I feel like I'm only slightly rewarded for my hits. Also, I wish I had more frames to dodge if I went for more slashes in between.
Thanks for your feedback! glad you liked the game!
I had a lot of trouble adjusting the patterns, some start too early, others too late ... ^^;
Eh, fine tune later! :) Great game!
