Great game. Had difficult maneuvering the ship but very fun to play.

Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for playing.

The gravity takes some getting used to but after I stopped constantly drifting into nothingness and crashing into planets it felt super smooth and I was able to capture a few planets. Also very nice sound design and graphics. Really enjoyed playing it!

Developer

Lmao the acceleration gets everybody. Glad you enjoyed it.

Looks pretty good! It's really difficult for me to control the ship, but I had a great time.

Very cool you added a gravity system so few science fiction games do and as a big fan of KSP I approve. The only thing I would have changed is the bullets aren't affected by it which makes it really hard to aim at orbiting vessel.  Not to sure if adding mouse movement fits the theme perfectly though I see the intension of having the only control driven by LMB.

Great job overall!

Thank you for playing. Yep aiming is pretty tough. Glad you enjoyed the gravity mechanic.

the gravity system is sickkk. It would be pretty cool as an agar.io style multiplayer game but I guess all the physic interactions would be tough, idk. I really like the way acclerating and decelerating feels and the bullet swerve is an awesome touch. I wish there was a bit more to the combat or planet capture systems as they are very barebones, but of course it is a game jam so very understandable. Also I think it is a shame that the gameplay loop isn't built more around the zooming around space thing. You did such a good job with the feel of driving the spaceship but the gameplay kind of forces the player to slowly move around and shoot the enemy ship to avoid crashing into planets. I think if you tweaked the gameplay to be more about going fast while battling the massive forces of gravity rather than an emphasis on precise slower movement it would have taken the game to the next level. that being said this was a really neat entry and you absolutely nailed the spacey feel, i had a great time drifting around in zero gravity!

Really appreciate the detailed feedback. Yea a .io game would be sick and I think you're right that a faster pace would have improved the feel substantially. Thank you for playing.
