heeeeeeere we go milkman john showing off again...
lol great work as always, you cant convince me this isn't how my cats see my living room at night while i'm trying to sleep..

Developer

It's true I'm watching the cats in your living room right now.

Thanks for playing.

I wonder if cats wiggle their butts to recharge their glowing orb pounce?

I like the visuals; it reminds me of a glass jar filled with colored sand. Sound is great and works well with the tiny rat screams driving me to chase them down. I like how the level is designed with tons of exits, entrances, nooks and crannies all over the place. It did feel a bit claustrophobic at times when I kept bumping into things trying to pounce/dash. I also kept pouncing right over the rats frequently, making me feel like an over-excited cat. I wonder how a future version might look including some catlike ways to utilize the environment?

Wow amazing feedback!

Butt wiggle recharge is brilliant. I didn't add an animation for recharging yet so if I add an animation - I'll make a butt wiggle animation.

Really glad to hear that sound and level design mostly worked well for you.

Yes, the level is a bit too claustrophobic for the cat's dash. That's a really good point.

Thanks for playing.

What a vibe! Great job again John! Love the music, hyperpop-esque color palette, movement, etc.

For the map, I love the small holes at the bottoms of walls and how you can corner rats but I felt like everyone was too fast for the small-ish map. I also got the bug where the timer didn't show up until I was three minutes and thirty dead rats in. Still got to four stars!

You especially cooked with the AI for the rats. Incredibly fast,  scattered and frantic. I love the little startle they get when you sneak up on them. A good way of balancing out how much faster they are.

Developer

What amazing and detailed feedback!

Sorry about the bug.

Glad you liked the AI. "Scattered and frantic" is a great way to put it. Yes in retrospect, they are too fast.

Thanks for playing.

  • Had a blast playing this.
  • I appricated the on-screen tips at the beginning.
  • The splat of the mice was very satisfying
  • Personally, I found the speed that the cat moved at to be disorenting with the amount of turning that was happening, but that may just be a me thing

Amazing! Your feedback is really valuable. I'm glad the on-screen tips and splat effect worked well. Really good point about the cat being too disorienting - I'll keep that in mind for future games I make. Thanks for playing.

Loving that avant garde hyperpop aesthetic.

Hyperpop is such an apt description! Thanks for playing.

cool game, for some reason the counter of rats appeared way later in to the gameplay so it didn't count for me bunch of rats(played in browser)

Developer

Could be because the counter doesn't appear until you complete every step in the tutorial - and the tutorial UI is not clear.

Thanks for playing.
