The game looks and sound good. Platform are easy to see, obstacles not so. I see you make all the obstacle bright but despite that, in my mind, vehicles was obstacles , but not neon. I encounter a bug several time where I got hit and disappear, the scrolling was continuing but could not do anything until the chaser reached my position.

The game is pretty cool and addictive, well made. For my taste, maybe there's some kind of twist missing.

Thanks for the feedback!

I'm already working on fixing the issue with obstacles not being too clear, and I removed the big vehicle as a platform, since people assumed it was an obstacle and got confused by it. I've also fixed the bug for knockback, and now instead of going back to the last place you touched the ground, you only go back a little from the obstacle you hit.

When the jam is over I'll release the updated version. 👍

Art and music were great, game was fun, only thing I would change is that some parts of the environment aren't immediately obvious as obstacles, but other than that, it is pretty cool.

That's a pretty consistent comment I've been getting.(Even with the original DeltaChase.)

So I'm going back and completely changing the randomization, reducing the total number of things that show up at any given time and reducing the variety of obstacles. So you can look for 2 or 3 things instead of the current 12 different types of obstacles.

Hopefully that'll let people run faster and run in to fewer surprise obstacles. 😅

Great choice of art, music and sounds! It felt quite punishing at times and was kinda repetetive, but once i got into the flow of it I like zipping around obstacles. I did encounter a bug where after hitting an object my character just kinda ceased to exist. The effect for losing was VERY cool! Good luck with the jam.

Thanks. I based the difficulty on my own skill level.... which was obviously a bad idea, because I've played the game more than anyone. 😅

I'm going back and reworking the randomization and difficulty to hopefully better fine tune it so people can more easily get in to that nice flow of running as fast as possible.

Thanks for the feedback. 👍

This is a fun little game, albeit a little boring. The art looks really nice and the music is a jam.

There is one main annoyance, I have though. The collision boxes are way to big and it’s really hard to tell what the player will hit! The elements blend way too much into the background to tell they’re actually gonna hurt me.

With that said, i still enjoyed the game and it’s still kinda nice. If you had put a little more time and effort into polishing, this game would be even better, but jam games are jam games after all!

[EDIT] I’ve just read your comment about little things constantly popping up. That excuses the lack of polish so I really hope you keep working on this and you iron out some of the kinks, because otherwise this is a great game.

Thanks for the feedback, totally fair comments to make.

I'm already going back to rework the game and clean/polish it up. (I actually didn't start making the different chunks for randomization until about 3 hours before the end of jam deadline, because of those little things.😅)

nice game

Did you break  the vim jam curse?

There were no trees falling this time, but tiny things kept happening, and my plan to make the game in 48 hours turned in to me still working on it til right before the jam ended. 😅
