Getting started for voxel art beginners?

What are some good learning materials for creating voxel art? Would it be possible to have a quick writeup or sticky for newbies who want to make their own art? Are there any night and day differences between software, or workflows that drastically improve time cost? I've been a big fan of the style in RTS games, and have always wanted to try voxel art for games. It's a bit short notice on my part (just now started looking for horror jams), but am still interested in learning and joining.

Hi! Thanks for joining, It's not short, never too late :)

There's ony one Voxel Art creation software that's worth it, it's Magicavoxel. It has a lot of export option, the tools are intuitive and greatly designed, it's fast, efficient, the render is beutiful, and it has a complete set of functionalities (scripting, outiner, layers, multi-volume support, etc...)
And It's completely free. :)

I'll make a sticky note with some good resources to have today, thanks for the suggestion.
