What external assets did you use in this jam?
-Music by @mavoproject (friend)
-Low Poly Dark Elf, CC Attribution, Author: alicewithalex
-QuickOutline, Unity Store Standard Agreement, Author: Chris Nolet (c) 2018
-Untiy engine, various built-in plugins/XR interaction toolkit

What was your favorite part of this jam?
Creating the atmosphere. There were multiple times that I was really frustrated with the code or the physics, but when I was just working on building scenery and tweaking lights/fog/particles I was having a really good time!

What was the hardest part of this jam for you?
IK Bodies. I joined this jam because I wanted to learn more about them and, while I did learn a lot, I still feel like I've got a lot left to work on!

What resources/tutorials do you wish you had when making this game?
I actually think there was a pretty good selection of tutorials on the things I wanted to do. That being said I do wish that there was a longer-form video about the ins and outs of the Action-Based XR Input system, as there are still seemingly basic things that I can't do with it and wasn't able to figure out on my own (such as reading a button as held down and incrementing a value based on the time it was held down for).

damnn boy... this by far has the best concept i've seen... even if somethings don't really work right now, i feel like IK was setup on someone with much longer arms than I, so I couldn't extend my arms fully. Also I can see the hair of the character kind of glitching in the main camera wich is distracting. In the end I was not able to go through even the first door. but I was impressed anyway, awesome idea and love the ambience.

Thank you, this is excellent feedback!

My limbs are a bit gangly so that might explain the IK problem, now I'm going to go and look into scaling that better to different players. I also plan on fixing the camera/hair/ik problem today or soon. I think that based on the reception I have gotten so far I will certainly be spending some more time on this project and I will keep its page updated as I fix content.

Thanks again for the help and praise, cheers!

This is great! This is the kind of out of the box thinking that makes VR so much fun. Kokutouchichi mentioned you should consider running with this, polishing it and releasing it. The idea is solid through and through. You may want to consider changing what you allow the main camera to render. I ended up having my vision blocked a few times because it was rendering the body.

This is a great concept overall! Congrats on a unique and great idea!

I'm really happy to hear you liked it as well :) And thanks for the tip about the camera, that's definitely something I want to fix early on in my runnings-with-it.  Cheers!

Oh no! Thanks for letting me know about this, I haven't tested it on Index or Vive yet. I'll see what I can do about that and I'll let you know when I fix it. Cheers friend!

If you used the OpenXR Plugin, adding more controller profiles might just do the trick !

Bro... This game. I would buy this game.

There's not a single drop of escape room about this entry, but that doesn't detract from the fact that this game is GREAT! Sure there is some jank with the climbing, but 72hrs?! C'mon! With some tender loving goodness ironing that bit out, I'd buy this game and show it off to people. What a cool and unique mechanic! Seriously! So simple, and so well done! The atmosphere, the integration of not just 1 giant but 4! I got stuck on the level with the low gate and couldn't figure a way to lower myself, but that's besides the point. You should take this game and run with it, it could be fantastic!

That's high praise, I'm really glad you liked it! I think it started out a little more escape-roomy, but then this idea hit me like a lightning bolt and I ran with it. :)

True! In the end we are just trying to make good games. Game jam or not. I think this has  a lot of potential, would love to follow development if you keep at it. Cheers!
