What external assets did you use in this jam?
Majority of models came from LowPolyAssetBundle by JustCreate that I purchased. Hat and hand models are from Unity's Learn VR course. The mazes, lock and tape recorder are all mine though... so that's something.
Musical and SFX assets are from previous humble bundles that I've purchased over the years.
Those sweet voice lines though? All me bby.
What was your favorite part of this jam?
Having fun with the theme while expressing my frustration with having to reactivate an account when getting an Oculus.
What was the hardest part of this jam for you?
So many puzzles and ideas and no time to do them all. I also work weekends, which makes this a tad bit difficult.
What resources/tutorials do you wish you had when making this game?
I wish I had built a better template for myself that implemented all the basics better. I'm pretty sad that I'm using the Unity default teleporter instead of the thumbstick teleport.

Awesome that you used voice overs, sound gets so overlooked but its such a powerful tool. Fun Game I really liked your level layout!
I really liked the story, and the story telling, I think you are the only one who used his real voice to do narration which is very cool.
The fact that the Maze walls went down just after you complete it was very enjoyable ! Good job !
Thank you so much for playing and your kind words!
I'm glad the maze seemed to be working well. When play testing it, having to go through it again seemed more of a waste of time instead of a challenge.
Cheers! Also congrats again on your great entry!!!
That was fun and such a nice story concept
Maze was clever and a nice twist .. good polish on removing the walls so people dont have to go back through.
The hats had me for a second because I couldn't find the second hat .. the contrast of it kept it from standing out in its location which threw me.
Well done.
Thanks for playing and the review!
You're right about the contrast of the second hat. I've had others struggle with it too. It definitely needed more contrast. Something to keep in mind for my next jam. I'll try your game out as soon as I can!
Cheers!
This is really well done!
It was quiet simple and short but really well executed.
The sound was very nice and the voice over pretty funny, great criticism ! (the last sentence really got me).
The controlls were a little bit weird for me however. Teleporting was the same as grabbing and the haptics would trigger on every highlight which was a little annoying but that might just be because of different devices etc.
And for some reason I really expected to be able have little interaction with the items in the room, like eating the cake or destroying the vases xd
Good Job !
Yeah, I was pretty upset about the controls in the end. I should have prepped for the game jam and hammered out teleporting with the thumbstick. I'm glad you enjoyed the story and voice overs! I wanted to express my frustrations with a certain social media app that I've had deactivated since 2019 that forced me back into it when I got an Oculus. Thanks for playing!!!
That maze puzzle was pretty genius. I was not expecting to do the maze in 1st person after doing it in 3rd person. I was like, cool this is an easy and fun mechanic... Oooooohhh no, I gotta look at that maze diagram one more time lol.
Solid escape room experience. From start to finish. I was expecting there to be a computer or something in the next room, little disappointed it was just text...but time constraints am I right?
Great effort!
Glad you liked it! You are 100% right about the time constraints. There was supposed to be one last room and puzzle to access the computer, but time moved way faster than I could develop.
