The Vampire Jam submission process has come to an end, and the amount of games submitted surpassed all our expectations - thank you so much for taking your time to share your VTM experiences with everyone!

Now, it's time for us to play all your games and take our time to pick the winners. With so many games in the contest, we need to ensure every title gets the playtime it deserves - and with upcoming holidays in mind, we've made a decision to push the winner announcement to the second half of January. We will be announcing streams on World of Darkness Twitch channel next week where we will play as many of the participating games as we can.

In the meantime, please consider playing other people's games and leaving your comments on their Itch pages! Just make sure to be kind in your feedback, and treat other games how you'd like your own to be treated :)

My Windows machine is kaput, but I’m def looking forward to playing as many submitted games as will run on Linux lmao

Have a lovely holiday season!

I wish I submitted something, but last month was hectic. Also I couldn’t down-scope the concept to something I could actually make and I simply don’t have the art skills necessary to make the game look how I imagined it in my head.

I guess Vampire XCOM will have to wait till next time.

Hi, Outstar. Thank you so much to you and the World of Darkness community for putting this game jam together! I was wondering, for those of us who weren't able to complete our games in time for submission, is there a space where we can post our games and our playthrough feedback? I don't need to be considered for any winning place or prizes. I really do want to continue to develop this game, and then share it once it is finally finished (hopefully in time for the January 2022 announcements). Or will I just need to post it independently to my own itch page? Regardless, thank you and WoD for such a fun prompt and letting us play around in the world of Kindred and kine.

I was pretty sad to hear that some people missed the deadline. I joined the jam about a week late and struggled to get mine in on time. I don’t know if it’s feasible with the licensing and whatnot, but it’d definitely be nice to have a place for folks who missed the window to be able to make their games available, even if they’re disqualified from the contest itself.

Currently self-publishing WoD games is not possible, because of the strict rules of obtaining an official license - it wouldn't be fair to developers who went through lengthy approval processes with their official games to allow everyone to do it without any process, hence there's no straightforward answer we can give to this right now, and why the game jam had very strict time constraints.

That being said, we're discussing this and possible methods on how we can support great community-made gaming projects in the future!

Thanks for the reply. I figured it’d be something along those lines, unfortunately, but it’s good to hear you folks are giving it some thought.
