The choir and harp are very thoughtful! The atmosphere you convey is striking.
Thank you so much!
this is really touching! I think you’ve nailed the fantasy death of a hero here. I don’t actually think the horn was too loud, I think it just signifies something new. All context really, could be argued either way.
Thanks for the feedback! That was definitely my intention to have some contrast with the horn.
What I like most about this piece is that I can feel the sorrow coming from the music, and to me that represents strong attention to detail and a great respect for this fallen character. Absolutely spot on for the theme of this jam!
A couple people have mentioned the volume of the horns in the middle section already, so I won't worry too much about that. The thing I will mention though is that I would've liked to have heard a little more call and response from the woodwinds in the last section. I say this because there's some very lovely melodic ideas there! It feels as if each musician is getting their opportunity to pay respects to the fallen character and I think it would've been cool to hear them fleshed out more and have the chance to shine on their own. IMO.
Thanks a ton for sharing this, and keep up the great work :)
Hi, thank you so so much for the thorough feedback, that really means a lot. Yeah, call & response is always a good idea. I had some in the beginning between the choir and the woodwinds but you're right, it would've been cool to have more at the end.
Nice dynamics, beautiful harmonies, instrumentation was spot on. IMO the horn at 1:15 was a little loud compared to the rest of the mix.
Hey, thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! :) I think you might be right with the horn. I wanted it to be impactful to serve as contrast to the rest of the track, but it might be a tad too much. :D
Very lovely! The quality and your use of instruments is great. I appreciate the bass, being clearly audible throughout the track, which makes it feel very tense and dramatic despite the long notes. My favourite part is when the horns play the melody - sounds tragic yet give a feeling of pride, I would say. Overall astonishing work! Keep it up. :)
Hey, thank you so much for the very kind feedback. That makes me very happy to hear! :D
