This game is spectacular, I love that I can move rocks around and throw them at birds. definitely in my top 5 rock mechanic games.
The art is also splendid and the vibes of this game are immaculate, that's so coool yippeeee (:
I only wish I could pick up that darned third key ;-; please lmk when you fix that I am so desperate to know what's in that square rock
Haha, thanks. I have no idea why the third key can't be picked up. It seemed to work for me at first. The game was just barely playable, though.
Likes:
+ Great art, just wish there was more to see.
+ Fun concept with using objects to interact with your environment.
+ The character is cool, I really like it as a way to interact with yourself and the world
+ Joints for the arm make gives the game a unique control twist
Dislikes:
- The screen is super zoomed in so exploring takes a while
- I can never seem to finish the normal woodpeckers off. After hitting them a couple of times I guess they decided enough was enough and just stopped taking damage. They ended up harassing me for the rest of the game
- I would always lose the ability to pick up objects after inserting a key to the stone. I really wanted to take all three keys to it, but would have to restart the game. (I'm not sure what the goal of the game is, but this seems like it to me)
Pretty cool concept for a game. It would be fun if some more objects and interactions were added. And maybe tie in the watering mechanic a little better somehow? Not too sure, but looking forward to what this game becomes if you decide to keep working on it!
Thanks! The game definitely needs a lot more work. The woodpeckers should only take two hits, if that... odd. I will try to keep working on it after the jam! Boxlion did a really good job with the art too.
I liked this one! Although I felt a bit lost - I fought a woodpecker, got the key from it and used it on an inconspicuous stone cube, which didn't seem to do anything. Not sure if this game is incomplete? regardless, the art and the music are adorable as always. Cool submission :)
Thank you! The game should have been just barely playable. It just made it (thanks to brick) to have an ending. I will keep trying to iron out the bugs though.
Hopefully people can stick with this one long enough to at least find a key...
I like the art and arm mechanics, as the orbiting woodpeckers are great, though they can be a bit annoying to deal with. The player itself is a creative blend of nature and machine, and protecting the tree works well as a motivation to actually get out an explore. I do wish the game could have been worked on for a bit longer, but as it is, the game has a lot of heart to it.
I should have added a limit to how many woodpeckers could stack up lol. I did not think about it. Thanks though!
