Loved the effects chosen for this. Also the dialogue system is pretty impressive for the timeframe.
Nice start to a story platformer. Unfortunately I couldnt make it to Danny as the screen would scroll to him then go back to the previous screen with the water stand seconds after. The text was also shown above the text boxes in my playthrough!
I think with some tweaking in the postioning code it would be alot more playable. Since you're in a rush, maybe the walkspeed could be just that little bit faster too? Otherwise I think the idea of being a carrot could be a fun take, good entry!
the text is solved by going full screen! maybe i should make that more clear?
And thanks For the bug report! i didn't notice it when testing, ill see what i can do about it after the rating period is over
