Played through this and enjoyed it! One request would be to smooth out the motion as you leave orbit as it feels a bit rigid as is. Good work!

Developer

Totally agree, thanks for the feedback!

The game was very fun and I liked the mechanics a lot. One thing that could be added is a reset button like R or something. Cuz in many situations I had to wait to hit the border. Also what font did you use?

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! VCR OSD Mono, one of my favorites.

fun little game, I dig it

Developer

Thanks!

Great little game! I really enjoyed the idea of having to make sure I fired off at the right point in the rotation with the right amount of power! I thought it was well polished, and I love the end cutscene, poor Earth...

Only one small thing of note, when the game isn't full screen, the text on the first screen is cut off. A minor thing, just a heads up!

Thank you!

Cool little game, I like it. I noticed the small delay before firing the asteroid but nothing game breaking (I didn't come across the soft lock bug ahah). Great work !

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah that’s a comment I’ve been getting a lot, should have done some play testing haha. If I make a revamp post jam I’ll definitely remove that delay!

That is a fun little game. I was determined to get to the goal! Those dinosaurs surviving and eating my breakfast cereal? I think not!

I really liked this game, but there is some bug. When i release space button, there is some delay before asteroid get off from the orbit. But direction is correct. Cute game, good graphics. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah that’s a comment I’ve been getting a lot, should have done some play testing haha. I didn’t cutoff the rotational force quick enough after you shoot. If I rework it post jam, I’ll definitely make it more responsive!

Music is Awesome!
I love the concept.
Some ideas on my part:

  • scrolling / zooming should change the background too
  • maybe align the camera so I can see the next planet so I don't have to scroll / zoom manually
  • drifting away... I'd like a reset button
  • web player > not full screen: The tutorial text doesn't show
  • on launch: for a while the orbit radius increases and then later the asteroid launches in a different direction
Developer

Thanks! I appreciate all of those.

Very nice game.

Really cool idea! Took me a few tries to understand what I was doing! Enjoyed the music and sfx :D

i love orbiting shit. did you ever play osmos? best orbiting shit around.

Developer

I have not! But as an orbiting shit enthusiast I’ll check it out.

Neat idea! Really like the simple graphics and electronic music combo. Would be curious to see what the game could be in 3D!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Right now it’s just using transform.RotateAround(). I might expand it out a bit and try some more complex orating logic if I do!

Pretty cool game! Unique gameplay too!

Thank you!

Tragically there’s a known bug where you can get stuck outside of a planets orbit and the game will soft lock. It happens the most often on planets with tiny a radius. So try to aim for the center of these planets or you will likely hit the soft lock. Wish I could patch it to fix it real quick, but obviously the Jams over, so good luck!

Cheers
