this game reminded me of "house", I loved your approach to the story and the layers of complexity added when traversing through certain rooms
Awesome concept and brilliantly executed. It took me a few tries but I managed to save everyone. I particularly enjoyed the weird TV show :)
The concept and dark surreal humour reminded me of "House", was it an inspiration?
My only thought was that it felt a bit unnecessary having to press "E" to transition between rooms, I think just walking up to the doors should be enough. Other than that this was a an amazing entry, congrats!
This was done really well! Great concept and was polished very nicely. I noticed some gaps/tearing between the tiles sometimes, which is an issue my team encountered too. The solution that worked for us was applying a material to the tile maps with a sprite shader that has pixel snap enabled. Here's a link to a video walking through how to create that material:
Hope that helps, awesome job! Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately our game wasn't made in Unity. It was made in a lesser known game engine called 001 Game Creator and there isn't a lot of support for it. Might be able to fix it similarly with trying to snap to pixels. Didn't get a lot of time to troubleshoot the issue but I'm sure we'll find a fix for it soon.
Ah sorry my bad for assuming you used Unity. I have heard of Game Creator before, hope the solution is easy then! Awesome job on the game though, this was my favorite game of the jam. The problem is not really a major problem to fix anyways haha.
Really fun. I love how the elements are tied together very smoothly. I would've loved maybe a run mechanic but I figured that's intentional as it's a strategy/story game rather than a speedrunning game. Good work!
Really cool game! Only managed to get grandpa on my first run but I want to go back and try for more!
Fun little adventure game! I enjoyed the art and exploration :D
Great game! Seems very well made. I got Dad and Koala on my first run
