Neat idea! I included it in my Wowie Jam 2.0 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Developer

Thank you! 🙏 By the way, I think video recorder didn't record "The Eraser" well. It stucks on main menu screen. 😁

After I understood the controls it was a fun game. Maybe combine the right and left button actions into 1 button click tough. So, rather to have 1 button erase something and 1 to bring it back just have 1 button that "interacts" with it.

Developer

That might have been a good idea, but having 1 button may cause to miss clicks. Thank you for your feedback.

C'mon guys, atleast add some explanation to the itch page; if you didn't include anything in the game itself. I was able to figure out that I can glitch everything except for the boxes with the construction striped, but that was about it. I got to the second level, glitched the grey box so that I could get some more ammo, but then I was stuck needing to glitch the two other grey boxes at the exit while only having one ammo.

Developer

There is in fact explanation at the itch page. An there stands: That you can reactivate blocks with the right mouse button

Yeah, you're right; I must have looked over it since it's a giant block of text. Maybe you could break it down into short sentences (like you did with the other controls).

Ok I like the concept but please consider adding a tutorial or something since it gets frustrating to figure out everything on your own.

I'm not gonna rate this game since I got stuck on the second level. I'm using windows. I just get spawned in the bottom left corner seemingly without a way to get up. Please help, so that I can rate and finish the game.

Developer

You can reactivate block with the right mouse button if you have a bug collected

I'm going to talk about this game in regard to the rating criteria for a more in depth review.

Fun - The game is fun but quickly becomes the sort of fun you get from rage games which isn't my cup of tea. The lack of checkpoints made the importance of platforming all the more higher and I am unfortunately not the best at that. 3/5

Simplicity - The core mechanics can be a little confusing but they are easy to learn once you have played it for a while. The simplicity is there without losing depth. It's just a shame these mechanics aren't explained. 4/5

Visuals - They are stunning, work well together, and are stylized in a lovely way. 5/5

Sound - The music tack and sound effects work well. The sound track is definitely a highlight. Though the sound effects aren't anything that break away from general sound design and don't feel too special. 4/5

Creativity - The bug mechanics in this game are top tier creativity and are executed well. 5/5

Topic - See Creativity 5/5

Overall, by averaging the other scores, this game gets a WOWIE score of 4/5 from me.

Fun to play but with a learning curve a little steep this game is one of my favorites from this jam. Checkpoint would be nice though.

Good job!

Awesome work! I had a lot of fun, I think I got to the fourth area. It was a bit hard figuring out what to do, but I eventually got there. So a little bit of explanation about the controls would have been good. I also had to quit the game after every death or when I got physically stuck with the character. So adding in a respawn or something would be great.

Overall though, it was quite fun, definitely has potential, I think you should keep working on it.

Great work!

Would you be happy to rate my game?

Thank you very much for rating our game! I agree that the controls weren't explained that well, time was short. And respawning is no problem. Just press R

The second area looks like I should be able to re-power the one block to get back up. however that doesn’t seem to be the case.

looks like an interesting premise for a 2.5D platformer. Could become something with some polish and expansion.

One of the biggest things I would suggest adding is some sort of hover highlight to show what items you can interact with with the gun.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! It is possible to re-power this one block with the right mouse button ;).

It was fun, I had to try the game a few times in order to figure out the mechanic but I would suggest a way of telling us what to do. The second area I couldn't figure out. but i liked the visuals and the BG music too.

also If you have time would you try out my game :D thank you

Thanks for the feedback! I really would've loved to play your game but I am a linux user, so I can't play it.
