Ayy, beat this one...I think. I killed the wizard at the end, but I'm still not entirely sure what coins are used for. Seems like you lose them every time you die, but other than that, they don't seem to do anything.
I enjoyed the various power ups you can find and searching for some secret chests with the ghost. But, it seems like the contents of the chests and what enemies drop is randomized and the secrets aren't that important. Seems like the most important power up is the fireball spell, so it'd be cool if those were hidden only in the hidden chests.
The normal attack was super finicky and not very consistent. Sometimes I'd get a huge red circle and other times it wouldn't attack at all. The fireball attack is much more consistent and enjoyable to use. Even then, I'd like some sort of visual indicator of when my fireball cooldown is done. Maybe the staff glows when it's ready or something?
The ghost mechanic is interesting, but I find it odd that it's discouraged by making you lose coins (of course, it doesn't seem the coins do anything, but still).
Overall, pretty nice game. Thanks for making it!
