Hey! Congrats on #4 in creativity and pretty high WOWIE! rank, well deserved! Although the game deserved a little more in my opinion, but still very good ranking.

This was a creative idea! I loved how the puzzle-solving and story-telling interlocked. I also appreciated that each options' dialogue changed depending on what I had already chose, particularly in the first puzzle.
I was a bit confused by the direction "in this order." Does this mean I chose a color in the correct position, or that two events are correct relative to each other? For example, I punched the bully sometime after blocking a hit, but is the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th position correct? After playing through the game, it seems like its the first option, in which case I think the text "~ events happened at the correct time" and "~events happened, but not at the correct time" would be more clear.
The first and third stories have a great color code, but the second story was particularly frustrating because I couldn't remember what color matched what action. Having a key on-screen, or using different icons (e.g. a fist, crossed arms, etc. instead of colors), would be immensely helpful. I had to look at the walkthrough for this story, and only then realized that walking out was an option. I think if there was a key, and the "in this order" text was clearer, I could have gotten to three correct events and then explored to find the fourth one.
Another possibility would be to include a version of Grandpa's fighter sprite walking left and turning his back on the bully, possibly with his arms down. This would let players know that it's something they're expected to do, and encourage them to walk all the way off-screen.
This was unique and interesting! but really hard... I wish there had been some sort of better way to figure it out other than trial and error. With 6 possibilities there are 36 combinations for each answer. That's a lot of clicking through the text even with the little hints saying how many were correct. I think locking in the ones that you got correct or highlighting the ones that happened when you got them could have been a good middle ground. At least it would have reduced the space down to 16 combinations. I also think that reducing the reset time could make the failure process more bearable.
A game jam with lots of narative! Wow! :D
Omega lol at the last story. Good job!
Definitely has the best storytelling out of any of the other entries I've played. Having to re-order events using the clues was a great mechanic (the color-coding was a really effective touch), but my game bugged out on the fight scene and I wasn't able to move forward with the entire game, no matter what keys I pressed. Despite that, I had a good time with what I played. Good work!
Man, it's a gem. It is simple on the one side but it's super creative - when the game ended, I was just smiling. I don't even want to criticize the game - it's just good :)
This is such a brilliant interpretation of the theme and its really well-executed! This definitely in my top 10 games for this jam. Well done. I have zero complaints, you nailed it. :)
I love these puzzles and ghames idea, goes to my favourite games so far. Not much else to say
This was beautiful! I love this Wish there was more. It was an interactive, fun puzzle. This was amazing. I never thought the story would be interesting in this jam but here I am with my jaw wide open!
Wow very creative storytelling. the gameplay changes throughout kept it pretty engaging. I admit I cheated on the first level, but I appreciate you putting the walkthrough in the games description since it helped me get to the next two levels which I enjoyed much more. I especially like the 3rd story, I think its really funny! Good job!
Amazing job! very creative, somehow made me nostalgic. Kudos!
This is great! I spent a lot of time on this game (especially the first story) but had a lot of fun. I liked that each story was extremely different, even in terms of gameplay but still followed the basic mechanic. The art and sound, too, are very well done :)
Hey, thanks for playing! I'm curious; did you spend a lot of time on the first story because you enjoyed it so much or because it was the most difficult? I've heard a few people that gave up during the first story and unfortunately didn't get to see the gameplay changes in the 2nd and 3rd because of it. Wondering if I should have lowered the difficulty for the first story.
The first story was very hard for me. The second one was pretty similar in difficulty, and the last one was incredibly easy and I beat it on my second or third try. I wouldn't say the level is too hard in general, but rather time-consuming, which tends to work against games in a game jam. It wouldn't hurt to remove an option from the first level to make it a bit quicker to beat.
wow! this game is great! I really didn't expect the 3rd story Good job!
Took us some time to compete, absolute masterpiece of a game, great job!
(and an interesting take on the topic too)
