Great game, I really liked the intro. The controls were a little hard to control. But well done.

Developer

Thanks a lot! :D

I liked the idea But the controls are a bit janky. Keep it up

Developer

Thanks a lot! :D

I like the visuals and I love the intro with all of its little meta digs and the password gimmick.  The platforming was ... not my thing.  I kept getting stuck to and in platforms and the controls were very floaty.  But that intro was so good!

Developer(+1)

thanks a lot! :D

Unfortunately got stuck on the platforming… literally.

Otherwise it was quite fun to play through and probably had a lot in store; just wish I could reach it.

Developer

oh well, I am sorry, you can check out the gamemapley vid if you want :D

Nice concept, I loved the fact that the robot read my name, now that's the real AI there. Platforming does need some work. Otherwise great and fun game. I wished platform on level 3 might be little lower as I wasn't able to jump on that and died with spike but maybe that's just me

Developer

Thanks a lot! ^^

The intro is trés cool!  I'd agree with most people that the platforming needs work - gameplay-wise it seems a little out of place?  But to be fair it does seem to somehow still fit the jittery vibe of the game's narrative.  And honestly nice work piecing together that many different mechanics in just one weekend!  Seems like a lot to think about and stress test...

Developer

Thanks! I was surprisingly not stressed at all, except for the last day...

Well, the start was really fun i must say. But the platforming section.. it was bad because ai did not consistenly jump.. And also it was hard..

Just debug a bit more, and i think you will have a better game!

Developer

Thanks! ^-^

I absolutely love the 4th wall break at the beginning.
But the platforming is kinda hard.
(Also it would have been good if there would be an information that you need to press Z to continue ;) )

Developer

well, I forgot to put it in the game so I added a tutorial text outside the game lol ^^

Submitted(+1)

Hey I am stuck in hello user for 1 minute and still nothing.

Developer

you need to press Z to progress text, and to move and stuff/select use arrow keys.

Submitted(+1)

The visuals are nice! Also an interesting concept. Great game overall!

Love the One Shot vibe xD The beginning was really good! But I couldn't get on any of the blue platforms, on that level after you fall in the hole... I don't know if it's just me being bad at games or if there was actually a problem :') But the concept is nice and I'd like to see more of the story! Keep up the good work ^^

Cool idea! The platforming needs some work but it was nice

Developer

yeah, the platforming sucks :/

Export bug tho

Holy sheep, someone actually translated the morse code... wow. I'm honestly happy lol

Developer

that's what Mr.Game/glitch says tho, keep that in mind. He actually is setting up a trap by letting you and innocent LogicAI play the game and trick you... but that's full game lore... eh, kinda spoilers but...

Super cool game! I really enjoyed the beginning part! I can definitely see the OneShot influence (Which is a good thing!). I think the Movement and platforming could use some tweaking, but other than that the games great! Can't wait to see more!

Developer

Thank you so much! :D

And happy someone else knows about OneShot! ^^

Ohhh my. That gave me the willies when LogicAI knew my name ;)

Seriously though, it's a great concept and nice graphics. Also, this is one of my favs from the entire game jam!

Developer

Thanks a lot! :)

If you liked this game, I highly reccomended you to check out OneShot, because I got a bit inspired from there. It's not a much known game, but it's one of the best I've ever played :)

Developer

also happy the feeling of LogicAI knowing your name was pretty cool :D

Those "errors" at the beginning of the game gave me anxiety XD. Really the game could have been just the robot messing around with me and I wouldn't have minded.

Submitted(+1)

I really like the part before platforming! But platforming session needs a lot of polishing. Though if full game more about doing something in different genres it can pass as it is very glitchy because of Error. Though i liked the art. Overall, very good game.

P.s. Rest in peace, Alex.

Developer

Yeah, I know the platforming kinda sucks, but I will improve it and make it more glitched in the final version:))))

How does you'r game know my name?

It is scaring me.

Now the Robot is beating at my door.

He has a knife!

HELP!!!

Developer

*shuts down LogicAI* huh, that was unexpected. Don't worry, he only brought a knife to cut his cookie into more pieces to share it with you. :)

Jokes aside, if you wanna know how the game knows your name, it's using a pretty simple function in gamemaker. enviorment_get_variable(STRING).

It is used for debugging mostly, and to save files on your PC (such as savefiles) but if you want to, you can acces literally almost every variable on the PC (that wouldn't cause harm to the machine ofc as GM is a sandboxed engine). If your replace STRING with "USERNAME" it will get the PC's username.

Here's an example of the code:

*//text LogicAI says

textboxtxt = "Hello," + enviorment_get_variable("USERNAME") + "!"*

That code would return:

Hello, *your name*!

Very annoying controls but it was funny at the beginning and when that explosion animation happened the first time. I didn't finish the game because the controls were a bit weird. It gets a bit boring once you pass few platformer parts. It would've been cool if you made the character comment you when you get him killed by moving. Cool game though.

Developer

Well, in the full game he will comment on more, and the weird controls are part of the weird export srry. Thanks a lot! (There are only a few platformer parts though, and later ones are like puzzles, with the exception of the first three actually)

good luck on your game! can't wait to see the finished version of it.

Developer

Thanks a lot! I'm probably gonna make a demo after the jam, which will be improved and if people like it, I will make a full version hopefully! :D

Well Done! I am impressed by this. The part where you have to write the password is really clever. Good Job!

Developer

Thank you soooooo much!:D

You’re welcome!
