Best storytelling i have seen! Loved the different take on the theme! First of all i would love to drag the attention on the storytelling part, it blown me away and also game me goosebumps. The combination of a great art style, storytelling and music combines it in a way to give a player chills while trying it out. I was blown away and would love to try out a completed version of the game. Loved it guys great work!!!!

You are very kind! CutePotato as well as the 2 artists in our team made a lot of efforts to make it cinematic, atmospheric and add that flair of drama...

Thank youuu very much!

Reminds me of those mobile games with really epic ads and really terrible gameplay.
Cinematic - 10/10, Gameplay - 01/10

With the time constraint given, we focused on setting a strong narrative foundation - we have the intent of turning this into a full-fledged game in the future - polishing the gameplay, as well as integrating the narrative with the gameplay in a more cohesive way!

But from a player's perspective, I understand this feedback! Thank youu

Really loved the art and the way you were trying to tell the story, but the gameplay can see a bit of improvement as well so things balance out. Good job though 👍.

thank youu

And very fair! We are hoping to polish this gameplay and better integrate the art with it, in the future!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Will make those improvements in the future versions of the game.

Pretty emotional! The contrast of the art used for Theyyam looks really good. If the same art fidelity could be extended to the gameplay art too, would be more moody and deliver a stronger statement, as the expressino on the Theyyam's face.

Thank you! Will work on it!

Damn! I have no words. I just love how cinematic this felt, and the sound effects made it feel like I was sitting in a theater.

Thank you!

Lovely visuals, great (and smart) use of colour to say a lot in a single image!

Developer

Thanks for the support!

I really liked the sound design and the cinematics. Great stuff.  I would have liked to complete the game, though. After crossing the river and getting to the bridge, the character got stuck in a jump pose and no clipped out of the map at the end of the bridge.

Hi Varun, The cutscene only triggers if you back away from the fires and get hit by one of those flashes in the middle. The intention of this sequence was to make it dramatic and load the cutscene, sorry if that made it difficult for you.
