hi there!  wasn't able to get it running but i'm sure you did a great job for your first try :) would love to see some art for the game if you want to upload some screenshots!

Thanks for all the feedback! The reason nothing happens when you reach the flag is because it only counts if the very first version reaches it hence the name First try! because you reach the goal before ever time traveling while your future versions of yourself help you reach the flag.  (because the version of you who has to win can never time travel, don't know if that makes any sense but I thought It would be a unique spin.) so only the dark blue square can trigger winning the level (Hint: you have to figure out how to jump off future's squares that do not exist in the first timeline.) I tried to indicating this in the description, but apparently that was kept separate from the gamejam page.

another thing to note is the flag will only register you as reaching it.  If the bottom is contained within the dark blue square. if you touch the top or middle part it wont work. As well I wish I had done a better job with the credit screen because, it cause's the application to just hang until it's done.  there are quite a few things I probably could have done better, and I hope my next game to be more straightforward.

I used Pyinstaller to convert it to exe before uploading, I thought that would allow it to be played on any pc but I guess I did not package the dependencies correctly or something.

Nice first try! I would put a limit to the amount of clones you can create, because I reached the flag by just spawning a mass of past cubes and climbed over their dead bodies lol

For your first entry, this was really impressive. The mechanic couldn't have been easy to implement. I'm not sure how I'd go about tackling that project. Kudos for working that out and for submitting on time. That's something to be proud of!

As RedTeapot pointed out, nothing happened when I reached the flag, though it was a fun little puzzle to work out getting there.

You know all the stuff to include to make it better, because I'm sure it was on your list. I hope you keep jamming and submitting. They get better and better. Good work.

It ran on my system. Apparently the game uses Pygame and needs Python to be installed system-wide, seems like it's not packaged with the game exe.

Now for the game, the movement was smooth but reaching the flag did nothing for me. I touched it with both the blue and green squares.

Good first try though!

Thanks for the fix. I'll try what I can to get it to run before the rating deadline so I can leave feedback. I know what a big accomplishment it is to finish your first game jam, so I'd like to play and rate

Actually, that was really easy to setup. Thanks again for the advice. Got it running.

I could not get it to run as well :( . It did sound pretty cool though.

Sorry. I tried to get it to run, but even when telling my security settings to ignore and open anyway, it  wouldn't open. The concept sounds really interesting. I was hoping to give it a try.
