This game is very impressive. Character movement feels smooth and satisfying. Music fits very well. Lighting and particle effects are a real strong point. The game is generally really fun!
All this being said there are a couple of things that need to be addressed.
- A visual indicator that the player has entered a checkpoint would have been nice
- I experienced a small bug where i had to close fullscreen and re-enter fullscreen whenever the scene switched. (Not a big deal since the scene only switches twice in the game)
That's a good idea to add a visual (and auditorial too) indicator to collecting a checkpoint! A fun fact is that the checkpoints were ONLY indicated by a small point-light with no particles until pretty much right before submission, but I added particles since someone in the server said the lights weren't a very clear checkpoint indicator.
About the bug where you have to close and re-enter full screen, was this happening with the Web, Windows or Linux build? When running the Windows version with Wine on my linux system, the audio gets glitchy after transitions, but it works perfectly on actual Windows computers.
The bug was happening with the web version. Specifically, Google Chrome using Windows 10.
The spin and glide feel really good. Was satisfying when I finally got to explode the guy at the end. Also the lighting and textures really make it pop, definitely gunna play around next game jam.
Very impressive, i really like how the little robot feels, music is epic as well
