Good job on 1st place!

Ayy nice! Creative idea that's executed well, good puzzles, good length, neat graphics, really nice music. Only main issue to me is the controls, though more of a personal thing. To me using A and D to move and Space to jump just felt not great in a 2D game and made me mess up jumps more than I wanted. I would have gone for arrow keys to move, Z to jump, X to pick up lantern and C to turn light on and off. That said that's just me so might vary from person to person. Also, in that level where you have to jump across the waterfalls, the blocks looked like they were part of the background and i figured out the way forward entirely by accident. Otherwise, this is a winner in my book!

That was so good, concept, level design, assets, mechanics. 10/10 loved it

Thanks, it means a lot as a first time team and a first released project for any of us.

What a great game. I really enjoyed the mechanics!

Developer

Thanks, our team mate who did the sound/music and some level designs came up with.

Great game

I loved every aspect of this game. The presentation, the mechanics, how you iterated and evolved them over the course of the runtime. My only nitpick was how sometimes it didn't register a jump and I just walked off the ledge, but there weren't too many ledges where that became an issue.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, I didn't have time to implement that thing where you can jump for like 3 frames after you leave the platform edge and the browser version of the game has some framerate issues for sure that can cause inputs to get lost.

Great execution all round! you should be really proud of what you've made here :)

I got stuck at the door as shown in one of your screenshots so don't know how much more game there is to see but really enjoyed it! Nice one!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, we are pretty proud of it, and yeah one of the doors in the second to last level (the one down the narrow pit) has a button that is a little hard to see.

Some platforms are hard to see, they blend in to the background. But nice game with awesome art.

Developer

if you are referring to the waterfall platforms they were supposed to be a "leap of faith" type platform, but we didn't have time to put in any levels that force you to learn that before needing it.

Love this game! Played it to the end, very enjoyable and rewarding gameplay, and amazing art, music and sound design!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words.

I loved the game, it is very epic and epic

A very cool puzzle game, I'm really impressed what levels you came up with in such a short amount of time. Got confused where to jump sometimes because some of the platforms blend into the walls, other than that really well  done!

Developer

Thanks! it helps that we were able to get the entire game system done on saturday and had all of sunday just for level design and puzzles.

Amazing game! From graphics and animations to music, idea and main mechanics. Everything's all right. Just fix the font in the main menu as it is now a bit blurry with the background and you can release it.

Developer

Thanks! yeah I didnt realize the menu was blurry until after I had already closed Canva and not saved, next time ill actually use photoshop or gimp so that i can export it without weird aliasing from downsizing.

Wow! You really nailed every part of this game - the idea, art, execution, and it was just the right length too. The core mechanic with the moth was a great idea, and you implemented and explored it so well. Very impressed!

Developer

Thanks for the praise!
