Thanks for the feedback and the kind words :)
So the dice are given a random force and spin when they're rolled plus gravity so it's not a set animation, just physics. If the dice don't land flat on the floor we give the die a nudge to try and get it to land flat, I don't know if that's what you mean?
The beholder shoots immediately upon start so it sounds like it's possible to get insta-killed - we could look to address that.
Oddly satisfying and very addictive. I was getting a little turned off from the game and then the automation kicked in and we were rollin' as they say ;)
I'm at the point now where I've stopped playing and it's just doing its thing, which I guess is the endgame :)
Only wish was perhaps a little variety in the cups, maybe only rolling 1 neighbour and working the way up to all neighbours? And maybe some calming music to roll and chill to!
Yeah it's interesting that as we started properly playtesting we found that the game asked us to make decisions on when to spend the rerolls and trying to hold on to them for the later floors.
I think we've got a pretty good base here and there's plenty of directions we could go to expand it if and when we put more time in it.
Thanks for playing and the feedback :)
I like the rapid-fire nature of the floors, it was very much the intent to not be spending minutes and minutes on a floor but yeah game balancing is tricky. We considered adding extra health for some enemies and the player but left it with just the elite beholder requiring multiple hits.
Thanks for playing and the feedback! :)
