Greetings.

I am Edwin Black, writer of weird things.  Generally speaking, I will read most any genre, though I have a liking more toward the literary and the macabre. This might explain why I am a horror writer, tending toward ghost stories, folk horror, and eco-horror, though I also enjoy experimenting with other subgenres and things outside. I have had a couple of short stories published elsewhere.

At the moment I am working on a new short story - a caper, of all things! I hope to successfully submit it to a particular publication, though I will likely post it up here if it gets rejected. Other than that, I will be working on my second novel. I cannot go into detail about that at the moment as it is early doors. I have another manuscript that I am ready to release at the right time. It tells of a house that has been standing for much too long, a house that can only hate. It ought to be out by the end of the year.

I look forward to my time here - Itch seems to be a bit friendlier to surreal and offbeat art than other places, and I do hope to bump into more of my horror brethren here in the coming time!

Greetings Edwin,

Ahhh, horror. While it isn't typically my forte, I do rather enjoy some stories that send fear to the mind. I'm more of a fan of stories that revolve around body horror as well as one that test the psychology of the mind. When I read or write something featuring those subjects, I tend to ask myself how far will a man push himself to achieve his goal.

I'm a fan of capers. While you can't share details yet, I will await said caper whether it be available in my local book store or here on itch.io!

I agree that itch is quite friendly to surreal artists than most online services out there. Heck, I'm a longtime user of a place called Tapas Media, and lets just say that despite being open to a lot of webcomics, the site essentially became more like current-day YouTube more than anything else. I'm here because I wanted to break away from that mold and do something to attract an audience more fitting to my strange style. I hope to bump into more strange and surreal fellows such as you too!

Happy writing!
