Thank you for the kind words! It really never crossed my mind that the death sound was out of place with the rest, but now that you said it I can't unhear it! Fixing that is at the top of my improvements list now :)
Yeah, that makes sense as I actually got used to it after playing for a while. You probably heard it dozens of times and it just sounds natural to you. Until pointed out that is. Reminds me of the Wilhelm scream :)
