I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't a snake game. This is a salvage project, right? It's janky, without a doubt, but he only thing that I really feel is missing in a way that takes away from it is a score counter. But it does show some sprites and a trail effect, and seems to be 2.5D. It also had pretty significant input lag for me, but that might just be my browser.
The devlog I honestly found kind of hard to follow. I really like the idea of a play-by-play of what was actually done, as it happens, but I think it needed more to contextualizing what was done into the overall plan. Maybe more in each devlog, or maybe more in the first devlog. Though the first devlog talked about what the game was supposed to be, which was important to see, it didn't talk much about the plan to get there.
Finally, was the devlog abandoned at some point? I'm not sure how the card game that was planned became the snake game that we got. That sounds like an interesting story in and of itself!
