This had a fantastic presentation. The blood crystal world environment looked great, the music was on point. The enemies were creepy as hell. Really the only part that seemed out of place was the character's own arms. Question, though. Are you supposed to be firing pellet/Airsoft guns? I'm not sure if that was intentional or poor SFX.

Thank you! I appreciate that. What about the arms seemed out of place? They're necessary for combat, so I'm not sure what was weird about that. As for the gun SFX, I added in the music at the very end before uploading for the jam, and just having music playing took all the thumpiness out of the sound. So I'm fixing that in the update. Thanks for playing!

Also, I literally made all the SFX for the game in my office with various sounds, like clanging pans and clicking lighters, haha. So that was the best I could do in a short period of time, since I didn't want to use any assets for the game. You're right though, it sounds super weak, and needs to be fixed.

I can relate to that, I made my SFX for my previous jam game, and had a hell of a time trying to turn the sound of a glass cup into an elevator ding. I don't even know what I'd try to do to simulate a bullet.

Oh, I didn't mean the arms' existence was out of place, I meant how they look. It didn't seem consistent with the art style of the environments and enemies. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the arm model/texture, the other stuff just looked more detailed.

Haha yeah, you get it! It's super fun to try and be creative and make specific sounds, but often they don't turn out right. If you ever get a chance to play my game NEMESES, the rubber sounds of the floor you run on were made by me stomping and rubbing my foot on my computer chair, lol.
