Why is Luna greyed out in the gallery and a lot of scenes of Luna feel a bit weird to me as if I am missing a whole lot of content

A greyed out portrait means you've lost that particular girl's path. So yes you are missing lots of content. Sound like it's been going a while too. Luna is quite easy to lose in the beginning.

You might want to look up a walkthru for where you went wrong and think about restarting the game.

I noticed it near the end of the game. Will replay the game once 0.8 comes out. Dont want to restart the game again.

I have a walkthrough mod, which is a quite bit more convenient if you're going for a guided playthrough.
