Ok, so this certainly not what I expected, and probably not even close to the original plan, but hey... you submitted! And you got some work done! All wins.
I like snake, so I had fun playing this version.
As for the devlog, it's pretty neat! It was interesting to read through your progress. The main downside is that it left me wanting to see THAT game... XD
It's a little tough to rate, because I do think it's a decent devlog... but then it stops, and the final game isn't related to it. Well, I won't be too harsh... nice work! Hope to see you back at it for MGGJ10!
