I'd say the concept is pretty obvious, but it still satisfies the limitation.

I think the controls could be made more responsive and an indicator of whether the next action is a jump or a dash.

The choice of not making an indicator of whetever the next action is was made by purpose, and the reason the controls aren’t 100% responsive was implemented to avoid instant actions and possible bugs, in facts, there is a delay of exactly 0.3 seconds after you jump or dash, if you dash, then jump and dash again, the velocity accumulated is a bit too much overpowered.
