Hello! Since quite a few years I’ve been using Unity (both 2D and 3D) and learnt game development, with the only experience of one game jam, I am trying this again, in the hope I can get quite good results and learn even more.

I’m currently looking for artists, but for anyone else, feel free to contact me too!

My discord: veddy1674

I’m a programmer, looking for artists, mostly pixel-art artist, you can contact me via discord: veddy1674 I’m doing this just to relax a bit, if anyone is interested in making a long-term game or do some other game jam, you can still contact me. Good luck to everyone!

Oh whoops, it seems like i was clicking (i have a mouse with a macro that automatically does 10 cps) instead keeping the left button pressed, tried it and it works fine

Thanks for your feedback! You can thank @blazing_crown (you can find him on discord) for the art! As I said in multiple replies, there is a little delay of 0.3 seconds after the next action made by purpose, I realized too late that it’s a bit annoying, originally it was to debug, because the jump wasn’t properly working and the instant action made the game lag and there was a fly exploit.

Yep, this is definitely a great idea, it was purposely made like this to respect the limitation even more, and to make it a bit more challening, thanks for your feedback!

Thank for your feedback! We had this solid limitation idea from the start and it absolutely helped, for the art, you have to fully thank @blazing_crown (you can meet him via discord), he’s really really good.

The game was purposely made a bit challenging, because it’s really short, otherwise it would be totally boring, and the added stars to collect (absolutely optional and useless) also adds a bit of difficulty.

The choice of not making an indicator of whetever the next action is was made by purpose, and the reason the controls aren’t 100% responsive was implemented to avoid instant actions and possible bugs, in facts, there is a delay of exactly 0.3 seconds after you jump or dash, if you dash, then jump and dash again, the velocity accumulated is a bit too much overpowered. Thanks for your feedback!

Nice game overall, I love the concept and the shop idea, even if for some reason it didn’t let me buy the second item even if I had the needed coins..

It doesn’t seem really challenging.

I love the wall jump idea.

My high score is 707

Quite good, there could be some improvements, such as avoiding the meat or toys going in the same place, that’s really confusing.

The art and presentation is basically perfect.

There doesn’t seem to be any noticeable bugs. Overall, the game has a really good potential.

The game is challenging, requires time to master, but as it was made in 3 days only, I’d say it’s really well-made

Good game considering only you made this game.

It’s pretty challenging! I personally would have made a better death and win “animation”. The art is cute but almost looks out of place, the levels look a bit empty.

About the challening part, I didn’t even know there was a dash button and found out late, after trying for minutes to complete level 3 without dashing :sob:

Pretty fun, could be better though, nice presentation in general, and the use of limitation uhh.. I guess that’s fine? But also not 100% truly “1 button 2 actions”, still a cool game with a good potential.

The game is quite enjoyable, a bit boring, but it is 3D and it was made in 3 days, well actually, you even submitte it 1 day and 12 hours before the deadline, good job, but also, you could have took more time redesigning the art and the game mechanics, for example, being able to look around yourself, also I don’t know if it was me, but the game looked a bit laggy by all those particles.

I love the fact that you go faster if you heat up but you have to not get melt completely, so nice concept!

The use of the limitation, literally 10/10, absolutely makes sense, and also looks pretty similar to how I implement it in my game, jump and then dash with the same button, awesome. It has a good potential.

Edit: I also wanted to mention that it’s really frustrating when the ice cube hits a rock or some wall, you lose completely all your momentum

Really enjoyable! The game seems endless, but it took me good minutes to get bored at it, I LOVE the concept, one of the best of the submissions I’ve rated yet, very original in my opinion.

The art is consistent, I like it.

The limitation was well implemented. It has a good potential.

I love the hammer recoil mechanic, it’s really fun but also a bit too much, you can spam the left button to the ground and you literally fly in the air!

I love the puzzles area, sadly I got stuck in some while spamming the button, and there is no button to restart, the quit button seems to literally fade the game in black and the only way to go back is to restart the game and start over..

I love the concept itself, pretty original in my opinion, the art is quite good, the limitation is well-implemented. It has good potential.

I love the concept, a bit boring, you just shoot and shoot.

I don’t understand the use of limitation, I didn’t see any “1 button 2 actions” buttons. I love the flamethrower idea, I restarted the game a couple times though and there seems to be a glitch where it just doesn’t work for some reason, both if i shoot from a distance and if I shoot near the enemies.

The art looks mixed, the bullet seems more realistic than the enemies and the player. Personally I would have maybe added an outline to enemies.

I love the style and the art in general, it took me minutes to understand how to play it, even by reading the description but overall it’s fun, it has a good potential.

With some adjustment it could be a great game!

I like the concept, but it’s a bit boring, it’s just about getting sticks and staying in the fire, also, you can survive without fire because wolves gets stuck in trees sometimes.

The limitation is respected, because you pick-up and drop items with one button, but it could have been way more fun implemented in a different way.

I don’t understand why you can move only with arrows and not with WASD or with a controller, as you are using Unity, I recommend you to do some research about Input.GetAxis and Input.GetAxisRaw, because that automatically let’s you detect WASD, arrows and controllers inputs!

The art is quite good, and overall the game is not that bad, considering that only one person made this, I think you should someday remake this, spending more time on it, and it will be a really great game, it has good fundaments!

Thanks for your feedback! The sound was one of the main problems of ours, we created it literally the last 2-3 hours before building the game, there are many known bugs that sadly I, (the programmer) couldn’t fix in time, but after a playtest, I can say it’s atleast completable without too much issues.

If this game reaches a good place in the jam, we are planning on a future remake maybe!

edit: I realied you may be talking about the “cave entrance”, it was made by purpose, basically you spawn in that cave, you go outside, and that sign is there just to say “you have been inside a cave till now”, so ofcourse it makes no sense to go back in there!

We are currently two people: a programmer (me) and my friend, an artist really good at pixel arts, we are looking for some sound/music maker that can make short, original and high quality audio for this jam :)

I sent you a friend request, check it out

I'm a Unity developer that never published any game, but I can do programming really well, I've made a few projects in really short amount of time.

I'm really into this genre and I'd love to work with anyone else! Just for the fun of doing it, no matter if we win.

Anyway, if you are a modeller, you could be extremely useful as the whole genre is based on big liminal semi-realistic maps, even just if you can mess up with lightning a bit!

Contact me in discord: veddy1674

Also, you must know this is my first ever game jam :)
