I agree with all your comments. I decided to go super simple because I just know the basics about Unity and we only had 48 hours and didn't want to crunch. My worst error is that I decided to turn this entry into a web browser game after I finished it, and I messed up the resolution. I used some triggers for the edges, but since the resolution is broken, I suspect the ships appear a bit too far from the camera. 

Given more time I would have liked to add animations, parallax, particles, adjust the sounc etc. But some stuff is too advanced for me yet.
