The Mansion: There is a mixture of sweet textures from the rising arpeggios directly contrasted with the haunting high piano descending line that seems to be hitting many non-diatonic notes. The percussion is a nice touch to drive the track forward to make it feel game-like. The emotion of grief and loss is palpable in this track as there really isn’t a resolution throughout.

The Street: I know those reverb-y choirs well! Logic presets are really great in my opinion! The snare fills give this track a march-like quality giving me the image of the protagonist trudging away from the conflict. Ooh I really like the reversed crescendoing choirs!

The Lake: The piano in this track is so reflective because you give lots of space to allow the listener’s mind to wander. Then it builds into the really cool section with the reversed piano hits.

The Hall: Wow the transition into The Hall is probably my favorite moment in your soundtrack! Those drums hit hard and really make an impact on the emotions conveyed.

The End: The kick heart beat with the solo piano brings back the hauntingly sweet sentiment from the first track. The chords you use seem to go back and forth between the two conflicting emotions which gives this track a cinematic quality.

Overall: You have found your sound in this soundtrack and you executed the themes of grief so well in your music. From the rating categories, I think it’s worth noting that you certainly left an impression on me as a listener and if I could rate this a 6, I certainly would. Great work and thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much for the incredibly detailed response! Your kind and thoughtful words mean so much 🫶
