Would you believe me if I said the vibraslap used to be louder. Also it is just a harp playing in that first song not a jazz piano. I used harp for the underwater feel since a harp solo is used for underwater music in Banjo Kazooie which is my inspiration.
The bubble sounds I believe were from the Banjo Kazooie soundfont

I had completely forgotten, but I promised to watch that video! It is really entertaining, especially with the text and images along with it! I loved the Tune-a Fishes and the fact that they will keep the angry Bubblene as their queen... after rehabilitation! And the songs are also still really good. I can as of recently use the cool features of Musescore4, which includes a low-pass filter I can use to mimic that "muffled" water-sound you are going for. Cool stuff :D
