I must say, the hand wasn't hairy haha! Neat game.
Liked the attention to details, the house, the phone, driving, outside, everything felt real and lively. I didn't understand the premise nor the idea behind the monster, so I didn't feel very invested, but overall I had a good experience.
Best of luck with the future projects!
The hairy hand, is basicaly a child fairy tail adults from México tell to kids. Like the Boogeyman to english speakers i think. You could think of it like the more rural version of "El coco". wich is a more famous example of this type of monsters.
My guess is that it comes from tarantulas getting mistaken by hairy hands for some people. And adults using that connection to scare kids from going places they shouldn't.
Alright, now I get it.
Thanks for making the game. It was really well designed. I would suggest maybe adding the lore for the "hand", like the comments you wrote, you can add these in the game like a note or a message from a friend telling you about the hand. That would make the ending more believable and scary. If you give the players information about the monster, that would be great.
Best of luck, once again!
About the hair. Mid development I discovered that low poly hair in small objects does not look really well. And the next thing you can do with it is making hair textures or spiky 3d meshes that look like anime hair. Got to admid that i did try this , but it stoped loking like a hand at all. and Hair textures were not even visible. on the dark :(.
