Presents tons of potential as a point and click adventure as a spy.
A great attempt for a first stab at pixel art. The character designs were consistent, and I especially liked the character setting for the “Crown’s Shadow’. I could see this easily be the setting and background for a Kingsman movie. I enjoyed thinking about how the narrative could branch based on the different choices available in each interaction.
A few points of feedback:
- I’m pretty sure you noticed already, but the text tends to spill out of the dialogue box.
- There are some perspective issues on the book shelf and door lines lining up. I’ve highlighted the fix.
- One of the issues with your artstyle is that the pixel brush size varies a lot. Background images are at 1 px, characters are 2-4px, and curtains and so on are bigger. It’s not that this can’t be pulled off, but it requires a LOT of testing. Bandle Tale does this marvelously, the UI has a lower pixel brush size, while the rest of the game had a fixed but slightly bigger pixel brush size.
