Really good take on the theme with the idea of spreading positivity! It seems like there's a some depth to the simulation. I like the unique monochrome art. However the gameplay could be a little bit more varied.

Maybe you could consider more detailed options than just positive or negative? or somehow put the player in a moral dilemma. Maybe the player could make changes in their society a little higher than the personal level, still connecting to the theme of small change = large impacts..
I really like the idea of a moral dilemma. But when you mentioned the play making changes “higher than the personal level,” do you mean not limiting the player to just person-to-person interactions? because I also like that idea.
