It's not everyday that a game will bring a physical smile to my face as I play, but today is one of those days. Absolutely STUNNING. the design of the houses were charming (Mr snake's was a GROOVY house I have to say :D) such good humor, music, artwork and everything felt very satisfying and polished. I set myself the challenge of not allowing myself to gnaw at any of the wood pieces which made for an interesting challenge, so maybe in the future if you wanted to expand on this even more you could have the residents have special requests like that in their letters. Also I was NOT prepared to be greeted by a full on voice acted cutscene, incredible stuff.
If I'm being EXTREMELY nitpicky, since Im playing on a trackpad it was a bit difficult sometimes to drag and drop without lifting my finger, so maybe it could be a click to pickup - click to put down kinda thing, but honestly Im just searching to find SOMETHING to give constructive criticism on, this is nothing short of a masterpiece, congrats!
