If you continue working on that game and need some play test feedback I'm happy to help

Actually, we’d love to hear your thoughts about the controls! We iterated a few times but decided this was the best option. We figured a pick up/drop button, a context-sensitive interact button, and a create-platforms button all needed be their own buttons, and then that left the arrow keys for moving, jumping, and dropping through platforms.

Was there anything in particular you had trouble with, or was it just generally that there were a lot of buttons to keep straight?

I have to play the game again to give you that feedback. Played to many in the passt days to remember the exact controls. I currently have no access to a PC but when I'm back on Sunday I will give you the feedback :)

Hey I finally come to play the game again. I think for me the biggest point is the keybindings. Im just not used to play a game with 2 hands on keyboard and keys like Y,X,C are hard to reach. Maby think about using keys close to WASD like F, Q, E or R.
Also you could think about using the mouse. Clicking things like the birds and plants could feel satisfying.
Second thing is how much you have to press the buttons. The idea to pickup and drop the watering can each time feels kind of clumsy. Maby you could have a different button (or mouse) for using items and interaction (like scare birds) so you can hold on to the item.
