I love the atmosphere of being a fireman saving people from buildings in fire.

The platforming felt good, the timer encouraged me to go fast, and there was quite a bit of polish too!

But I found that touching fire restarting the whole level felt a bit too punishing to me. Maybe it could only make you lose time as a penalty?

I really appreciate this feedback! I’m actually glad you commented on that, because I struggled with that decision for about 2 hours. I really think I’d like to implement checkpoints, like in the old sonic games, the time just doesn’t restart when you die, encouraging you to finish the level when you die, but also encouraging you to get back in from the beginning to try for the gold medal. Thanks for playing it!

Yes also think that's a good direction. That way, it would only really penalizes players who want the gold medal.

And players who only want to finish the level won't be forced to start over if they've made a mistake, which will be far less frustrating for them.
