Awesome game! I think that the damage the enemies do near the end is too low. Very fun!

I definitely agree lol. Balancing was atrocious in the later stages because I had to manually set up every value depending on the size of the object, relative size of the player etc. So we chose to have the game be too easy rather than too hard; If we ever remake the game from the ground up I would use normalized values scaled up at runtime instead.
