thanks! it does seem a little impractical, but i think it works with the wider screen. most shmups use portrait, but it felt like a defense game made more sense in landscape cause then theres the franticness of trying to not let anything get by. but if the ship moves really slow thats really boring... and making the ship laterally fast would make it hard to aim and felt a little to drifty in my opinion. so having alternating types felt more fun. also theres the risk reward of not being able to shoot, but being able to move faster. and the contrast between the two made each feel a little better i think. also its just cool cause ship move fast lol
