Wow, this is a really cool game! :)

The gameplay loop is fun and challenging, and the ending is very intriguing...really gets me wondering what will happen next in the story! (if you plan on expanding this)

The soundtrack is groovy and accompanies the gameplay very well!

I still have some critiques tho, mainly the sound of the monkeys being a bit too loud, and the fact of being completely udefended when you don't have the weapon, making bad throws very punishing: maybe there could be a basic attack that cannot deflect projectiles but still does a bit of damage? Also, death is not really communicated (I initially thought there were only 3 levels in the game, but no, it was just me getting repeatedly obliterated by the storm at the end of that level)

Overall, fun experience! As said I don't know if you plan on expanding this, but it has potential! :D

Hey! Thank you very much for the honset review!

First, about the loud monkey death sound, we noticed it was loud too, and upon trying to change the volume it almost corrupted our entire game for some reason, so we had to leave it at that...

Second, about the basic attack, have you tried pressing the Right Click button? Its a melee attack which deflects and deals damage to monkeys (as seen in the tutorial)!

Lastly, about the death transition, you are correct, its pretty confusing, but we ran out of time to create something  readable :(

Anyways, thank you very much for playing our game and reaching the end, congrats!

Oh, about the second thing, yes I am aware there was a melee attack with the weapon, it's just that It felt strange not being able to use any attacks at all while the weapon is thrown (I often just didn't throw at all because the melee attack was just as powerful and reusable). That might just be a me thing, tho, as I tend to be pretty hyperactive in games haha.

Yeah, our game is pretty punishing lol, we wanted to create tension, and make every throw count, as it makes you vulnerable. By that, we make the player think of better ways to throw the shield - like straight up to easily catch it, or aim it so that it will hit multiple monkeys at once

Ahh, then if that's so, you got that feeling spot on!
