Did you actually link the key from Open Ai? Just wanted to make sure. Nobody so far with recent problems has confirmed if they had credits or keys so it's making me feel a bit iffy about investing in this :/
I do not have extensive knowledge as I have not purchased it; I am seeing a lot of “it didnt work” posts from people with no responses about if they followed the steps of inputting a key. Did you obtain an API key from the openAI website first? You need a key and credits to utilize the AI functions. The instructions are linked at the top of the itch page description for this.
Surprisingly, it can. The video is over a year old, and there are many different sites that come up when one Google's "openai.com" as the video suggests. And I assume these credits are not free, but cost money? If that's the case it is a dealbreaker for me. The $10 USD was a huge ask as I live on a fixed income, but the promise of aid made it worth it in my eyes, now the prospect of further investment in something that still cannot help me has me balking.
Yes, it seems like OpenAi does not give out free trial credits anymore from what people are saying. You may have to update the description to let people know that. It doesn’t bother me as I already use OpenAI credits for other things, but I think some people might be off-put by having to spend more on top of the tool :P
Yeah, I agree. I never assumed it didn’t work, but it’s a bit jarring there’s so many posts saying it but they drop the conversation before mentioning the reason why it didn’t work or giving any info about problems they are having XD
I would probably delete those if they didn’t provide follow up, but I’m not sure you can do that on itch. I’ll be sure to give it a shot though :) I was worried about the app but it seems most people’s problems are coming from not having credits lol
