First off, I'm sorry that my reply is going to be much shorter than your thought out response!!!
I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the story so far & I know that it may feel like we're cranked up to 11, but I am trying to go somewhere with it and we're only at the start, I promise. :)
It did seem to go 0-100 out of no were for a 40 min coffee date. The belly rub and kiss felt too intimate to happen so soon. The rest of the entire interaction was so sweet and im not at all saying I hated it. If it was date 2 I don't think I would have thought anything of it.
You said there is a reason for it and your going somewhere with it so I'll stick it out to see.
